About
TMM Enablement Services exists because most companies hire sellers before they build anything for sellers to use. The practice supplies the missing layer: a sales process, the tools around it, onboarding that gets a new rep productive, and the training academies and kickoffs that keep a team current. Madian's own line for it is "experience with a side of results, covered in sass sauce" — the work is unglamorous, and the firm does not pretend otherwise.
Melissa Madian founded it and runs it as Chief Fabulous Officer. A mechanical engineer by training, she was among the first people to hold a sales-enablement title in B2B software, in senior roles at Eloqua, Oracle and Vision Critical, and has spent 25 years on the problem. She wrote the field guide Enabler? I Hardly Know Her! How to Make the Sales Experience Not Suck.
She took TechTO's SalesTO stage in December 2016 — then at Vision Critical — to explain what sales enablement is and why the function exists.
Backers
An independent consultancy run by its founder. No outside investment is announced on any page read for this profile, and none would be expected for a practice of this size.
