TRADER Corporation runs the marketplace where Canadians shop for vehicles and the software Canadian dealers use to list, price and finance them. Thoma Bravo acquired it from Apax Partners in 2016 for C$1.575 billion, when the marketplace was drawing about 13 million monthly visits across more than 450,000 vehicle listings. In August 2024 AutoScout24 agreed to acquire the company from Thoma Bravo. Edwin Ulak, who spoke for AutoTrader.ca at TechTO in 2018, became CEO in 2024.
