Trulioo sells identity verification, fraud prevention and business verification through a single global network, so a company onboarding customers in many countries does not have to integrate a different data source in each one. Stephen Ufford and Tanis Jorge founded it in Vancouver in 2011, after building and selling three credit-information startups together; Jorge served as COO until 2015. The June 2021 Series D of US$394M made it one of British Columbia's first unicorns at a US$1.75B valuation.
