Vision Critical was founded in 2000 in Vancouver by Andrew Reid, son of pollster Angus Reid. It built customer-community and insight software used by major global brands and grew to hundreds of employees. Reid later departed and went on to found Rival Technologies and Reach3 Insights; Vision Critical rebranded as Alida in 2020.
