About
Philippe Beaudoin left Element AI and Google to start Waverly in 2020, framing it as an answer to feeds optimised for engagement rather than intent: the user would describe what they wanted to follow in plain language and see why each item surfaced. It raised $1.25M CAD pre-seed in October 2020 from Panache Ventures, Hike Ventures, Maple Leaf Angels, FounderFuel and angels, and later added generative and conversational AI for curating content and building communities. Beaudoin told his founder's story on TechTO's Founder Journey in May 2023. Both mywaverly.com and waverly.ai have since stopped serving the product.

Is Waverly still running?
No. Its site at mywaverly.com no longer resolves and the waverly.ai domain is parked for sale. Beaudoin is now an affiliated researcher at LawZero.
