About

Arteria began inside a Deloitte innovation incubator, built by three people who had run the firm's data, analytics and AI practice. Rather than parse documents after the fact, it structures the data as documents are generated, giving banks live reporting across contracts, invoices and notices. The company spun out of Deloitte, which held no equity after its first outside round, and closed roughly $46 million CAD in Series B funding in October 2023 from GGV Capital, Citi, BDC Capital, Information VP and Illuminate Financial. CEO Shelby Austin told the spin-out story at TechTO Together in February 2023.
