Carrot Rewards

Carrot Rewards was a Canadian health app, built by Toronto B-Corp Carrot Insights, that paid users loyalty points — Scene, Aeroplan, Petro-Points — for walking, health quizzes and healthy actions. Founded in 2015, it reached 750,000+ users across three provinces before running out of funding and shutting down in June 2019.

Carrot Insights, a certified B Corporation founded in Toronto in 2015, launched the Carrot Rewards app in March 2016. It rewarded Canadians with loyalty points for walking and completing health-education quizzes, funded largely by government contracts. The app ran out of money and shut down on June 19, 2019. Its assets were bought by Planswell that September, and Optimity acquired and relaunched the app in January 2020.
