About
FHMatch was built by David Quenneville after he found it hard to compare massage therapists for a recurring injury while travelling for work. It began as an app and became a web platform once he concluded that practitioners are rarely one thing: a personal trainer is also a health coach and a nutritionist. The site gave practitioners structured, search-optimised profiles with certifications, reviews and social links, plus chat, scheduling, invoicing and payment collection, and gave consumers search and booking. It launched publicly in November 2015 and Quenneville demoed it at TechTO in April 2017, where he reported growth from five modalities to more than 180 specialties. The company was bootstrapped and has since closed; its domain is parked for sale.
Backers
Bootstrapped. No funding rounds or investors appear in any source found, and Quenneville described the company as bootstrapping on stage.
Quick answers
What was FHMatch?
A Toronto two-sided marketplace connecting consumers with fitness, health and wellness practitioners. Consumers searched, compared and booked; practitioners got a findable profile and tools to run and grow a practice.
Does FHMatch still exist?
No. The product is defunct and fhmatch.com now redirects to a domain-for-sale page. The corporate entity was renamed Qmonster Inc.
