Happy Pops

Happy Pops is a Toronto frozen-treat brand making all-natural ice pops from real fruit in small batches. Leila Keshavjee founded it in 2016 out of university and bootstrapped it from a single farmers-market stall to more than 2,000 Canadian grocery stores.

About

Happy Pops started with a $200 logo and a second-hand chest freezer, sold at farmers markets around Toronto. A 2018 Dragons' Den appearance brought a $150,000 deal with Arlene Dickinson, and a pandemic-era pivot to direct-to-consumer preceded the grocery listings with Sobeys and Loblaws. Keshavjee told TechTO's Commerce Toronto audience in May 2026 that getting on shelf and staying on shelf are separate problems.
