About

Lessonly built training software teams could actually maintain: lessons for onboarding, customer support and sales enablement, with practice and coaching layered on. It was founded in Indianapolis in July 2012 and grew through the decade to serve hundreds of paying customers. Seismic acquired it in August 2021 and merged it into its sales-enablement platform; the deal price was not disclosed. Kyle Lacy, who ran marketing there and took the TechTO SalesTO stage in 2019 to argue that sales development reps should report to marketing, moved to Seismic after the acquisition and is now CMO of Docebo.

Backers

Venture-backed before the acquisition, including a $15M Series C reported by the Indianapolis Business Journal; acquired by Seismic in August 2021 for undisclosed terms
