About
Manuel Hilty, Patrick Hammer and Andreas Fürer started Nezasa in Zurich in 2013 after consulting work at Acrea showed them how far behind the travel industry's software was. They launched a direct-to-consumer booking site first and pivoted to B2B in 2015 — 'our DNA is technology, not consumer marketing', as Hilty put it — selling instead to travel retailers and tour operators. Verve Ventures led a Series A in 2016. Hilty flew to Toronto for TravelTechTO in August 2019 and described the shift the company builds for: enough travel product is now live-bookable that an itinerary can stay editable until the trip ends, rather than freezing at checkout. The company has offices in Zurich and Lisbon.
