About

Nudge.ai was founded in Toronto in 2014 by Paul Teshima and Steve Woods, both former Eloqua executives, to give sales teams relationship intelligence — surfacing who on a team already knew a target account, flagging deal risk and measuring account health from the relationships behind a pipeline rather than the CRM record. Teshima made the argument on the TechTO stage twice, in September 2015 and September 2016, including that a founder's first hire should come from their own network. The company announced a shutdown in mid-January 2020, citing difficulty raising the capital to extend its runway. In March 2020 Affinity acquired its technology, intellectual property and most of its product and engineering team, and opened its first international office in Toronto as a result; Teshima and Woods joined Affinity as advisers.
