About
Orbits started as personal financial management and was killed by its own research. Co-founder Nomaan Ahmed told the TechTO stage in July 2026 that dozens of customer interviews showed nobody cared about the money product — the overspending was a symptom of the mental load of running a household. The team validated the new idea by watching people put credit-card details into a half-broken signup form for a product that barely existed.

Quick answers
What does Orbits do?
It acts as a household executive assistant: managing the family calendar and group chat, planning events, keeping grocery lists, and getting quotes from tradespeople when something breaks.
Who founded Orbits?
Nomaan Ahmed and Erik Tillberg, who met at super.com where Ahmed led engineering on a vertical he took from zero to nine figures of recurring revenue.
Why did Orbits move away from personal finance?
Customer interviews. Ahmed told TechTO that people politely said they wanted finance software, but their real answer — traced back through their own bank statements — was that the household was the thing falling apart.
