Paid

Paid builds billing infrastructure for AI agents, letting agent makers charge for outcomes — points of margin saved for a customer — instead of per seat or per call. Founded by Outreach founder Manny Medina and based in London, it came out of stealth in March 2025 and had raised $33.3 million by that September.

About

Paid exists because the pricing model AI agent companies inherited does not fit what they sell. A seat licence prices access; an agent's value is the work it completes. Paid's answer is results-based billing infrastructure: agent makers can charge for the points of margin their agent saves a customer, and Paid does the measuring, metering and invoicing underneath.

Manny Medina founded it after a decade running Outreach, the sales engagement company he took to a $4.4-billion valuation before stepping down as CEO in 2024 to become executive chairman. Paid came out of stealth in March 2025 with a EUR10 million pre-seed, then raised a $21.6 million seed led by Lightspeed announced on 28 September 2025 — $33.3 million in total, at a valuation TechCrunch reported as over $100 million. Early customers named at the time were the sales-automation startup Artisan and the ERP vendor IFS.

Medina's TechTO appearance long predates Paid: he spoke at SalesTO in July 2019 on sales development, as CEO of Outreach.

Backers

Lightspeed led the $21.6M seed announced in September 2025, following a EUR10 million pre-seed at the March 2025 launch. Total raised: $33.3M.
