About

PressReader's answer to paying for news is that the reader should not. Chief Content Officer Nikolay Malyarov told the TechVancouver stage in September 2017 that the consumer price point should be zero and someone else should offset it — so brands like Bell, Cathay Pacific and Marriott sponsor access, and libraries extend the reading room they always had. The company's focus since has been discovery: a personalised home feed that ranks on how long people actually read, not on shares or likes.
