Its own description of itself is "your go-to destination for executive-led insights into the trends and innovations that are transforming the global retail landscape", under the line "the evolution of retail in today's connected world". Marie Chevrier Schwartz, who founded and ran the Toronto product-sampling platform Sampler for eleven years, is chief executive, and framed the model this way when MiR launched in June 2026: "RETHINK builds the rooms where the right people connect in ways that move their businesses and careers forward." The MiR founding cohort drew senior leaders from Costco, Ulta, The Home Depot and Dollar General.
