Ziggy

Ziggy, which shipped publicly as ChainVine, let crypto and DeFi projects run on-chain referral, affiliate and loyalty programs. Bryan Altman presented it at TechTO's Web3 edition in March 2023; the company wound down soon after, returning funds to its investors.

No longer operating — Wound down and returned funds to investors. An August 2024 review of the web3 growth-tooling market (https://blog.safary.club/p/the-state-of-web3-growth-2024) dates this to 2023; the company published no closure notice of its own, so treat the year as reported rather than confirmed. Its domain chainvine.xyz no longer resolves and ziggy.xyz redirects to a parking page, checked 2026-09-06.

About

Ziggy was Bryan Altman's Web3 growth company, and ChainVine was the product it sold — a SaaS tool that let a web3 organisation stand up a referral marketing program in minutes, with a campaign configurable in under five minutes and an experience for users to refer others and claim rewards on-chain. Projects building on it could also opt into ChainVine's own community of affiliates. Altman had earlier built DAO Exchange, and before that was COO of Setter, the Sequoia-backed home-services marketplace that sold to Thumbtack. He presented "Driving Sustainable Growth" at TechTO: Together, Web3 edition, in Toronto on 22 March 2023. The company did not last long after that. An August 2024 review of web3 growth tooling records that ChainVine, one of the two best-funded companies in the referral and affiliate category, ceased operations and returned funds — it dates the wind-down to 2023, and no announcement from the company itself was found to confirm the month.

Backers

Venture-funded — described in 2024 as one of the two best-funded companies in web3 referral tooling — but no investor names or round sizes were found, and the funds were returned when it wound down

What did Ziggy do?

It built ChainVine, a tool for running on-chain referral, affiliate and loyalty programs — a way for a crypto or DeFi project to stand up a referral campaign in minutes and let users claim rewards.

Is Ziggy still operating?

No. It wound down and returned funds to investors — a review of the web3 growth market published in August 2024 dates that to 2023 — and its domains no longer resolve.

Who founded it?

Bryan Altman, previously COO of Setter — the Sequoia-backed home-services marketplace acquired by Thumbtack — and the builder of DAO Exchange.
