About

Michael Kravshik co-founded LumiQ with Adam Bercovici after their original idea — a CPA recruitment product called Luminari, incorporated in 2016 — went nowhere. The breakthrough came from listening to what CPAs actually complained about. LumiQ's own site dates the company from 2019, when the CPE podcast platform launched. Guests have included Jim Balsillie, former TD CFO Colleen Johnston, and Alexa inventor William Tunstall-Pedoe. Vertu Capital made a strategic investment in September 2024.

Backers

Vertu Capital made a strategic investment in September 2024 (amount undisclosed), its fourth platform investment from Vertu Partners Fund I, with principal Eric Kafka joining the board. An earlier $5M round closing August 2022 was led by Firmex founder Joel Lessem, now LumiQ's CEO.
