About

Jamie Shanks and Amar Sheth had spent years at Sales for Life teaching salespeople to prospect on social platforms. Pipeline Signals, which they founded in 2021, sells the data instead of the training: it mines LinkedIn for what the founders call relationship signals — a champion who moves to a new company, a buyer who changes teams — and delivers them as a managed service rather than a dashboard the client has to work. Shanks is chief executive; Sheth, who took the TechTO stage in 2017 arguing for social selling when it was still contested, is chief operating officer. The company closed a $507,000 CAD (US$400,000) all-equity pre-seed on SAFEs in January 2022, backed by six sales-software operators rather than a fund.

Backers

Six private investors, all sales-software operators: TK Herman (Factor AE), Steve Richard (ExecVision), John Barrows (J Barrows Sales Training), Howard Brown (Revenue.io), Kevin Casey (Balto) and Scott Howard (CoreBTS).
