About

Lo and Burget were 23 and could not justify spending hundreds of dollars on high-quality natural skincare, so they made their own — hand-mixed and hand-labelled in Lo's Toronto kitchen, starting in 2017 under a different brand name, and rebranded as Three Ships. The brand was an early adopter of live video shopping, running its first show in 2021 during the pandemic on a $20 tripod and an iPhone. It has since appeared on Dragons' Den and collaborated with Disney. Lo told the story at TechTO Commerce in January 2025.
